1. Shinjuku
One of the largest shopping district in Tokyo. Shinjuku is also a a major transportation hub, multiple major departmental stores such as Isetan, arcades, and flagship stores. You definitely will be able to get something in Shinjuku.
2. Shibuya
Shibuya is also another major shopping district. The main different from Shijuku is that, the target market is more towards the younger generation. Shibuya has a lot of trending clothes stores, small boutiques, eateries etc.
3. Harajuku
Harajuku is another well-known shopping district. It cater more towards the younger generation with a lot of treading clothing stores, eateries etc. What caught my attention is the Daiso (100 yens shop). It is of three stories high. Selling daily necessities, snacks, drink etc.
4. Ginza
Ginza is a well-known upmarket shopping district in Tokyo. It has a lot of branded flagship store and cosmetic companies. Not to worries if you are not a branded lover as there is a Uniqlo flagship store in Ginza. It is of 12 stories high with a wide range of variety.
5. Akihabara
Akihabara is home to many electronics retailers such as Yodobashi Camera, Yamada Denki, Laox etc. It also has a dozens of shops devoted to anime, manga, collectibles and games.
6. Ameyoko (Ueno)
Ameyoko is a shopping district mainly for food and snack stuffs. The stores there main selling fruits, sashimi and snacks. It is a heaven by for the snack from there as it is cheap! Personally, I would highly recommend the store called Niki no Kashi. The store is a wholesale for snack. They sell tones of snack and with a wide variety. The well-known snack product such as Meiji, Jagabee etc all can be found there.
7. Nihonbashi
Nihonbashi is a historic merchant district featuring traditional goods and local foods. It sells interesting traditional products and food.
8. Marunouchi
Upscale shopping next to Tokyo Station. It is also the headquarter of many companies. There are cafes, restaurants and an abundance of shops.
