Penang is a popular holiday destination for most Singaporean as it is near and travel expenditure is affordable. From Singapore to Penang, the travelling time is only about 1 hour 25 minutes. I usually go to Penang for a short getaway over weekends. 2 day 1 night would be sufficient for me. If I am going with family, I would stay at G Hotel Gurney. G hotel locate is excellent. It is located is excellent. It is within walking distance to Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon. There is also a Gurney Drive Hawker Center nearby. You will be able to have a taste of majority local delights such as Penang Laska, Penang Kway Tiao etc. I would say that it is a idea hotel for elderly. So that they do not need to walk so much.
